To enhance the essential facilities for tourists and pilgrims visiting Ayodhya, the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government is set to introduce electric buses on Dharma Path and Ram Path. District Magistrate Nitish Kumar announced on Monday that, in response to the expected increase in pilgrims and tourists in Ayodhya, 100 electric buses will begin operations from January 15.
The move is part of an initiative to provide seamless transportation facilities, including electric vehicles (EVs), in Ayodhya. Golf carts and e-rickshaws will also be introduced to enhance convenience for visitors. The District Magistrate stated that all preparations have been completed as per the state government’s directives.
Corridors have been constructed for operation, and additional parking spaces have been designated to accommodate the influx of tourists. Various parking facilities, both temporary and permanent, have been developed from Saket Petrol Pump to Lata Mangeshkar Chowk. On the Chaudah Kosi and Panchkoshi Parikrama routes, new areas have been marked at Udaya Chowk, covering 70 acres (10 acres, 35 acres, and 25 acres) for parking lots.
This strategic move aims to improve the overall transportation infrastructure in Ayodhya, ensuring a smooth and convenient experience for pilgrims and tourists.
