Jammu, Feb 14 : Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid homage on Wednesday to the 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel who lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Pulwama district on this day in 2019.
The CRPF personnel were martyred when a Pakistan-linked suicide bomber targeted their convoy with an explosive-laden vehicle.
In response to the attack, the Indian Air Force had launched airstrikes on terror camps in Balakot, Pakistan.
“Humble tributes to the bravehearts who sacrificed their lives in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack. The nation will forever remain indebted to their exemplary courage, supreme sacrifice, and selfless service to the motherland,” Sinha expressed on X.
Security forces, including the CRPF, along with political and social groups, as well as various other organizations, have organized separate events to mark the fifth anniversary of the attack.
