New Delhi, 06 March : Today in New Delhi, President Droupadi Murmu will confer the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards for the years 2022 and 2023 to ninety-four eminent artists. These awards, spanning across music, dance, drama, folk and tribal arts, puppetry, and allied theatre art forms, recognize exceptional talent and contributions within the performing arts sector.
In addition to the Akademi Awards, President Murmu will also bestow the esteemed Sangeet Natak Akademi Fellowship, known as the Akademi Ratna, upon seven distinguished artists during the ceremony. The Fellowship represents the highest honor in the field of performing arts, celebrating individuals for their remarkable and enduring contributions.
Since its inception in 1952, the Akademi Awards have served as a beacon of excellence, honoring individuals who have demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication. These awards not only symbolize the pinnacle of achievement but also acknowledge the sustained efforts and impact of each recipient.
