New Delhi, March 13: NHAI Urges Paytm FASTag Users to Acquire New Tag from Different Bank by March 15
NHAI has recommended that Paytm FASTag users acquire a new FASTag from another bank by March 15 for seamless travel and to avoid inconvenience at toll plazas, according to an official statement released on Wednesday.
This measure aims to prevent penalties or double fee charges while traveling on National Highways, as outlined in the statement.
Following the Reserve Bank of India’s guidelines on restrictions related to Paytm Payments Bank, the statement indicated that Paytm FASTag users would no longer be able to recharge or top up their balances after March 15, 2024. However, they can utilize their existing balance to pay tolls beyond the specified date.
NHAI also advised Paytm FASTag users to contact their respective banks or refer to the FAQs available on the IHMCL (Indian Highway Management Company Limited) website.
