New Delhi, Mar 14: On Thursday, a high-level committee led by former president Ram Nath Kovind submitted its findings on the viability of conducting synchronized elections for Lok Sabha, state assemblies, and local bodies nationwide.
The committee presented the report, which spans 18,626 pages, to President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan, according to a statement.
The comprehensive report is the result of extensive consultations with stakeholders, experts, and 191 days of research work since its formation on September 2, 2023, the statement added.
