New Delhi : Amidst the ongoing uproar surrounding the issuance of Delhi Chief Minister’s initial directive from the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Sunday, another instruction has been dispatched to the health department by CM Arvind Kejriwal.
Sources within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) confirmed that this directive is related to the health sector and was communicated by the Chief Minister through a memorandum to Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, who supervises the health portfolio. Further details about this latest directive are awaited.
Earlier on Sunday, CM Kejriwal had issued his first directive while under the custody of the ED, instructing Water Minister Atishi to address water and sewage-related issues in the national capital. CM Kejriwal, arrested on March 21 and subsequently remanded to ED custody until March 28 by a Delhi court, is facing allegations of direct involvement in a conspiracy regarding the formulation of an excise policy favoring specific individuals.
Additionally, CM Kejriwal is accused of seeking kickbacks from liquor businessmen in exchange for favors, as alleged by the investigating agency.
