Oil Companies Slash Prices of 19 kg Commercial and 5 kg FTL Cylinders

New Delhi, Apr 1: Oil marketing companies have announced a reduction in the prices of 19 kg commercial cylinders and 5 kg FTL (Free Trade LPG) cylinders, according to sources.

The price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder has been decreased by Rs 30.50, with the revised price in Delhi set at Rs 1764.50 starting April 1, as per sources.

Similarly, the price of the 5 kg FTL cylinder has been reduced by Rs 7.50.

This reduction in prices comes after oil marketing companies had announced a hike in the prices of commercial liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders on March 1. These adjustments in prices coincide with fluctuations in fuel costs and market dynamics.

Previously, on February 1, the prices of Indane gas cylinders had varied across metro cities, with Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai each having different rates. However, consumers witnessed a notable increase in the prices of Indane LPG gas cylinders across all metro cities as of March 1.

While the exact reasons behind the recent price decrease have not been disclosed, factors such as changes in international oil prices, shifts in taxation policies, and supply-demand dynamics are likely contributors to such adjustments.

These consecutive revisions highlight the volatile nature of the energy market and its implications for households and businesses reliant on commercial LPG cylinders.
