NEW DELHI, April 9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his warm wishes to the nation on the commencement of Navratri, a celebration that marks the onset of the traditional Indian new year. In a heartfelt message shared in Hindi, Prime Minister Modi expressed, “Best wishes to all my fellow citizens on the auspicious occasion of Navratri. May this vibrant festival, dedicated to the worship of Shakti, bring joy, prosperity, blessings, and good health to everyone. Jai Mata Di!”

Continuing his greetings, Prime Minister Modi reverentially acknowledged Maa Shailputri, the first form of Goddess Durga, on the inaugural day of Navratri. He prayed for the infusion of renewed strength and vitality into the lives of all citizens across the nation.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi extended his heartfelt greetings on the occasion of Ugadi, Cheti Chand, Sajibu Cheiraoba, Navreh, and Gudi Padwa. These festivals, celebrated with fervor and joy in various regions of the country, signify the advent of the traditional new year and are integral to India’s rich cultural tapestry.
