Srinagar, Apr 11 : In a security operation conducted in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday, one terrorist was neutralized by the security forces, confirmed police sources.
The operation, initiated after receiving intelligence inputs about terrorist presence in Fressipora village, Rajpora area, transitioned into an encounter when the terrorists opened fire on the approaching forces. Prompt retaliation ensued from the security personnel.
During the exchange of fire, the terrorist was killed, according to police reports. The identity and affiliation of the deceased militant are currently under investigation.
The Kashmir Zone Police shared updates on the operation, confirming the retrieval of one terrorist’s body. Identification procedures are underway.
Additionally, arms, ammunition, and other incriminating materials were seized from the encounter site, enhancing the security forces’ efforts in thwarting terrorism in the region.
