The Meteorological Centre in Srinagar has forecasted widespread light to moderate rain/snow in higher reaches at many places, along with heavy rain, snow, thunder, lightning, hailstorms, and gusty winds at isolated locations in Jammu and Kashmir over the next 24 hours. The weather is expected to remain partially to generally cloudy on Friday, with scattered thunder in the afternoon and evening.
From April 15 to 17, there is a possibility of light rain or snow in higher reaches at a few places, while from April 18 to 20, light rain or snow may occur at many places across Jammu and Kashmir. As a precautionary measure, farmers have been advised to suspend farm operations during this period due to potential waterlogging in low-lying areas and the risk of landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones that could disrupt traffic movement on important highways.
