Srinagar, Jan 15: In a significant development, the police in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, arrested a highly sought-after and notorious drug peddler on Monday. The apprehension took place at a checkpoint established at Juhama Market in Delina.
During the interception of an individual at the checkpoint, identified as Mohammad Ayoub Shah, a resident of Ladoora Rafiabad, the police conducted a search, leading to the discovery of 270 grams of a brown sugar-like contraband substance in his possession.
Following the discovery, the accused, Mohammad Ayoub Shah, was promptly arrested by the police and subsequently transported to Police Station Baramulla, where he remains in custody. A case under relevant sections of the law has been registered, and investigations have been initiated, according to police sources. This arrest marks a significant stride in the ongoing efforts to curb the menace of drug trafficking in the region.
