Society Of Physiotherapists conducted a CME on latest surgical advancements on Joint Replacement and rehabilitation in association with Arcus Hospital on 28th January at Conrad Hotel, Pune. The lead speaker was a renowned surgeon Dr. Rohit Luthra, Director Arcus Hospital, Wanowarie. He Spoke about the latest surgical advancements and how it is benefitting the patients in early mobilization and excellent recovery. He also added the importance of physiotherapy for better out come of orthopaedic surgeries. His associate Dr. Aleem Shaikh (PT) who leads the Physiotherapy Department in Arcus Hospital spoke about the importance of Pre – Rehabilitation and how it is helping in early mobilization and independence of knee replacements patients. Dr. Rohit Luthra also stressed on regular interactions of Physiotherapists and Orthopaedic surgeons to understand each other’s roles and responsibilities better, which will only lead to collective development of both the communities and will help in developing a more responsive and fool proof ecosystem where patients and society will be benefitted as a whole. The session ended with a vote of thanks and SOP Calender Distribution event for all physiotherapists who attended the CME. Dr. Rohit Luthra interacted with all the delegates over the lunch and clicked pictures and this wonderful CME came to an end.
