Srinagar Welcomes Visitors to Asia’s Largest Tulip Garden

Srinagar, Mar 23 : The renowned Tulip Garden in Kashmir, among the largest in Asia, was inaugurated for the public on Saturday.

Officials revealed that this year, the garden will showcase an impressive display of 1.7 million flowers of various varieties, including five new additions. An official from the floriculture department informed that the garden has been enriched with five new varieties, enhancing the visitor experience.

“The moment has arrived for the public opening of the tulip garden. Both domestic and international tourists are flocking to the garden to admire the beauty of tulips,” the official stated.

As crowds gathered to witness the garden’s grandeur on its opening day, officials assured that the garden would be in full bloom in the coming days.

Situated against the backdrop of the Zabarwan mountain range and alongside the picturesque Dal Lake, the garden boasts a diverse array of tulip bulbs in hues of red, yellow, and pink, spanning both early and late blooming varieties.

Prior to the garden’s opening, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, chaired a meeting to oversee arrangements. Attendees included the Director of Floriculture, SSP Traffic Srinagar, Joint Commissioner of Srinagar Municipal Corporation, and representatives from the Tourism department and Srinagar Smart City Limited.

Discussions in the meeting revolved around visitor management, traffic control, parking facilities, sanitation measures, cleanliness drives, pothole repairs, online ticketing, and other necessary arrangements.
