The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a formidable lineup of star campaigners for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP National President J.P. Nadda. Alongside them, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman, S. Jaishankar, Smriti Irani, and Nitin Gadkari are set to join the campaign trail.

The list of star campaigners, comprising 40 prominent figures, was released by the Karnataka BJP unit on Friday. Among them are 10 Union Ministers, Chief Ministers from three states, and several state leaders. Notably, senior BJP leaders in Karnataka who were not nominated as candidates for the Lok Sabha election have also been included as star campaigners.

These star campaigners will engage in various campaign activities such as meetings, conventions, and roadshows across the state to rally support for the BJP candidates. Joining them are leaders from other states, including Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Despite being denied tickets, influential leaders like former Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda, BJP MP Pratap Simha, former Karnataka BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel, and Union Minister of State A. Narayanaswamy have been named as star campaigners. Additionally, firebrand BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, known for his outspoken nature, has also made it to the list.

Yatnal’s inclusion is noteworthy given his recent criticisms of Karnataka BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra and former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa. The list further features prominent names like B.S. Yediyurappa, B.Y. Vijayendra, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister of State Shobha Karandlaje, Leader of Opposition R. Ashoka, and former Chief Ministers Basavaraj Bommai and Jagadish Shettar.

Overall, the BJP’s star campaigner list reflects a diverse mix of leaders poised to energize the party’s campaign efforts in Karnataka ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
