Surat, Mar 2: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar underscored the imperative for India to prioritize manufacturing to compete economically with China, a sector he highlighted as being overlooked by previous administrations before Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed office in 2014. Speaking at a corporate summit on “Bharat’s Economic Rising” organized by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI), Jaishankar emphasized that focusing on manufacturing is pivotal for India’s economic response to China.
