Rahul Gandhi Set to Submit Nomination Today in Wayanad

New Delhi : Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to arrive in Wayanad, Kerala, on Wednesday to file his nomination papers for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He will also lead a roadshow in the constituency, where he secured victory in the 2019 Parliament polls with a significant margin of over four lakh votes. Rahul will land by helicopter at Muppainad village and proceed by road to Kalpetta. The roadshow, starting at 11 am from Kalpetta, will feature his sister Priyanka Gandhi, AICC general secretaries K C Venugopal and Deepa Das, as well as other prominent party leaders. Thousands of party workers and supporters are expected to join the roadshow, culminating near the Civil Station around noon. Rahul will then submit his nomination papers to the District Collector. In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Rahul Gandhi secured victory with 7,06,367 votes, while his closest rival received 2,74,597 votes. Voting in Kerala for the Lok Sabha polls this year is scheduled for April 26.
