CHANDIGARH, Dec 19: Seizure of Two Drones and Nearly One Kg of Heroin Near India-Pakistan Border in Amritsar
On Tuesday, a BSF spokesperson reported the seizure of two drones and approximately one kg of heroin near the India-Pakistan border in Amritsar, Punjab. The first drone, a China-made device, was detected near Dhanoe Khurd village early in the day. A joint search operation with the Punjab Police led to the discovery of the drone and a packet of heroin weighing 430 grams in a field. The packet was equipped with a nylon ring and a small torch, according to the spokesperson.
On Monday evening, BSF troops intercepted another drone in the same Dhanoe Khurd village. Subsequent search efforts uncovered a China-made quadcopter and a packet of heroin weighing 540 grams, as reported by the spokesperson.
