SRINAGAR, Jan 9: In an operation near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, security forces successfully recovered arms and narcotics, as announced by the police on Tuesday. A person has also been taken into custody for questioning in connection with the discovery.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs, the recovery operation took place in Keran Payeen, close to the Cobra Post view point along the River Kishanganga, as reported by a police official. The seized items included an AK-47 rifle, two AK magazines, and packets containing a substance similar to narcotics.
The official further revealed that Mohammad Amin Lone, a resident of Naga Mandiyan, has been detained for questioning in relation to the incident. Additional details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
