Addressing the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized India’s role as a crucial pillar of stability, a trusted friend, a global economic growth engine, a technology hub, and a reservoir of talented youth. In the context of a swiftly evolving world order, Modi asserted that India is progressing as a ‘vishwa mitra’ (friend of the world).
Highlighting the positive projections, Modi mentioned that major rating agencies anticipate India to be among the world’s three largest economies in the coming years. He expressed confidence in India’s ability to set and achieve common goals, offering hope to the global community.
The Prime Minister underscored the multifaceted perception of India on the global stage, characterizing it as a reliable friend, a proponent of people-centric development, a voice for global good, a representative of the global south, and a hub of technological solutions. He acknowledged the country’s status as an engine of growth in the global economy and praised the abundance of talented youth.
Celebrating India’s 75 years of independence, Modi outlined a vision for the next 25 years as ‘amrit kaal’ (golden period) and set the ambitious goal of transforming India into a developed nation during this timeframe.
During the event, Modi credited UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in attendance as the chief guest, for fostering the substantial growth of India-UAE relations.
